  Donation and Costs
..................................................................................................
To have the opportunity to participate on Pioneer Madagascar, we ask volunteers to raise a minimum donation of £2,000. This is made up of £500 initial deposit, which secures your place on a scheme, and a balance of at least £1,500 is due three weeks before departure. Funds generated by the Pioneer program support Azafady's projects in Madagascar, with some 90% of all donations to Azafady being spent in direct pursuit of our charitable aims.

Don't let the cost put you off!
We are here to help and support you in raising this donation and have a wealth of fundraising expertise and facilities available to potential Pioneers, including Pioneer fundraising manuals, raffle tickets & official collection boxes.

You are of course welcome to simply pay the minimum donation from your own funds, although we do hope that by fundraising, Pioneers will assist us to raise awareness about the threats to the people and environment of Madagascar.

Most Pioneers raise their minimum donation within about 2 months having all sorts of fun on the way, with sponsored activities, charity raffles and events!

Other 'pre-project' costs including flights usually come to £1,000 - £1,500 plus pocket money of about £250 for the ten weeks (more if you plan to travel independently before or after the Pioneer scheme).
