Interning
with Pioneer will be beneficial to anyone who wants
to be challenged, as it will teach invaluable life skills.
However, for anyone interested in a future career in
development or conservation, the internship will directly
give you experience towards reaching your future goals
and plans. Our program is designed to allow its interns
to have the maximum amount of "hands-on" learning
possible, which in turn allows you to put academic knowledge
into practice.
Additionally, as the international development sector
continues to grow, most jobs at international not-for-profits,
charities, and NGO's will require their employees to
have experience working abroad. Out internship program
allows for individuals to gain the experience necessary
for a future in this sector.
For those that do not foresee a future in development
or conservation, the internship will show future employers
that you have a broad set of experiences, which would
be beneficial to a wide range of careers. We also expect
the internship to aid personal development.
