Teach English – Make A Difference!

Summary

Photo of a blue car

Getting involved with Project Mampianatra is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to contribute to Azafady's English teaching programme, in the charming coastal town of Fort Dauphin in south east Madagascar.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of educational schemes, gaining a valuable insight to the many challenges faced by communities living in and around Fort Dauphin, while making a real difference to the lives of some of the poorest people on the planet.

Working closely with the dedicated team of long-term volunteers and staff, you will receive an all-round experience in the workings of a small but well established international charity, gaining vital skills for a future career in development or teaching, acquiring credit towards a college or university course, or simply sharing your time with those in need of it most, and making friends for life.

A class of TEFL students

Project Mampianatra offers rewarding long-term and short-term volunteer placements, from 2 weeks up to 6 months, or a year. For placements over 4 weeks we ask that you are TEFL qualified, or have substantial prior teaching experience. If you do not already hold a TEFL qualification you could be eligible for a 25% discount on any of UK-TEFL classroom based courses by volunteering with Azafady.

For more information on the UK-TEFL offer, or any other details of Azafady's English teaching programme, please contact Lucia (lucia@azafady.org).
